Here are the highly anticipated first images from the new film in the Mad Max franchise! 9 years after Mad Max Fury Road, Furiosa will arrive in theaters on May 22, 2024.
After the great critical and public success of Mad Max Fury Road, here is Furiosa, still directed by George Miller. The feature film is a prequel, focusing on the youth of Furiosa, played here by Anya Taylor-Joy (the role played by Charlize Theron in the 2015 film).
In this prequel, young Furiosa is torn from the Green Earth and falls into the hands of a horde of bikers led by the warlord Dementus. While traveling through the Wasteland, they come across the Citadel presided over by Immortan Joe.
As the two tyrants war for dominance, Furiosa must survive many trials to find a way home.

Mad Max: Fury Road, released in theaters in 2015 and which made a splash at the Cannes Film Festival that same year, brought in more than $375 million in revenue worldwide. In France, George Miller’s film attracted 2.3 million spectators.
