While things will be slowing down within Disney’s MCU this year, with only one feature film expected in theaters, Sony is working hard with several new Marvel films on the program. And it’s Madame Web who will open the ball.

Release date, story, production, casting, images… Here’s what you need to know about Madame Web.

The film’s story

After Venom and Morbius, a new character from the Spider-verse will arrive on our screens in the person of Cassandra Webb. In Marvel comics, she appeared for the first time during an adventure of Peter Parker in the comic book The Amazing Spider-Man in 1980.

But if in the comics Cassandra Webb has always had a secondary role, that is not the case in this new film which puts her center stage.

Madame Web thus follows Cassandra as she develops the ability to see the future. Forced to face revelations about her past, she forms a relationship with three young women with extraordinary destinies… if they manage to survive a deadly present.
