"Goodbye Germany!" – Star Manuela Reimann has lost weight. "I cut myself in half," she says. She didn't do any sport for that.

"Goodbye Germany!" – Star (VOX) Manuela Reimann (52) has lost a lot of weight. "I've cut myself in half … from US size 8 to 0 (German size 40 and now 32)," she tells her 165,000 followers on Instagram. The message is illustrated with two different sized denim shorts. It fit into one in 2019 and the other in 2020.

That alone is amazing, but the weight loss becomes even more surprising when you consider how she did it. "No yo-yo effect and no sports program were necessary," she writes. Instead, she apparently relied on the expertise of a metabolism expert: "Thanks to my friend Christiane Gensel and a metabolism cure with detoxification and deacidification, I have my old figure and my energy back," says Manuela Reimann.

Self-catering in Hawaii

She and her husband Konny Reimann (65) now live on the Hawaiian island of O'ahu. The emigrants call their property there "Konny Island 3". "A lot of fruit" grows in the garden, "a rooster and seven chickens provide fresh eggs". What else the Reimanns are missing, they swap with their neighbors, according to RTL. In one of the photos that Manuela posted on Instagram, she can be seen in size 32 shorts cleaning the beach.

Konny and Manuela Reimann and their family emigrated from Hamburg to Texas, USA, in 2004 after Manuela won a green card. From 2006 they became cult stars of the docu-soap "Goodbye Germany! The Emigrants".
