Marcel Remus: This is how the luxury broker experiences the Corona crisis in Mallorca

Majorca has had a "radical curfew" since March 15, says Marcel Remus (33) in an interview with the news agency spot on news. The real estate agent, who became known through the VOX program "rent, buy, live" and has since built a life in Mallorca, spends the isolation alone with his dog Buddy. He doesn't see his mother, who lives only "a few minutes by car" away from him.

Even when going for a walk, Remus had to be careful. "Even then you can only go around the block once and move a maximum of 400 meters away from your house. Otherwise you get a fine of 600 euros from the police, who check very closely," he explains.

Help for others, time for yourself

How does the 33-year-old pass the free time? "I support the elderly or the needy and go shopping or to the pharmacy for them." His job as a real estate agent was "almost completely in the background" these days and weeks. In times of the Corona crisis, "nobody would buy a house in Mallorca," he says.

But Remus also thinks of himself. "I have to admit, I'm using the current situation and curfew to just rest myself." In addition to sleep, the program currently includes "very healthy eating", the third season of the Netflix series "Élite" and "real estate videos from real estate agents from America". The 33-year-old does not lose sight of his business plans. As soon as the curfew is lifted, he wants to "really get going again" – and go for a coffee with his mother.
