Marilou Berry: “I mourned my father”

The actress Marilou Berry will be back at 9:10 p.m. on TF1 Monday January 31, 2022 in the hit series, I promise you.

For the occasion, the 38-year-old actress, recently transformed, confided in our colleagues from TV 7 days on this character of Maud who sticks so well to her skin and makes her successful on the screen. Like Maud, Marilou Berry lost her dad, Philip Berry in 2019. A pain that the actress managed to tame with the work of a therapist, and that she is now able to reuse in her work. “Unlike her, I mourned my father. Besides, it hasn’t always been easy for me to dive back into this period of my life to draw from it emotions to play on screen. It’s like I’m stepping back. (…) What made my therapist jump” she thus confided to our colleagues about the death of the ex-companion of Josiane Balasko .

Philippe Berry, brother of actor Richard Berry currently in legal turmoil with his daughter Hill, was a sculptor, decorator, draftsman and painter. He died on September 5, 2019 at the age of 64 in the 18th arrondissement of Paris from a heart attack. He was married to Josiane Balasko from 1982 to 1999. His daughter paid tribute to him on his death by sharing his paintings on Instagram and encouraging his friends and fans to discover his father’s work: “He leaves behind an extraordinary body of work. I invite you to discover his incredible work of painting and sculpture, to share it and bring it to life again and again.”

Marilou Berry has announced that the filming of season 3 of I promise you could take place next summer, and is currently filming the series Marianne for France Télévisions, an adaptation of the cult Belgian series strip tease. She also said she spends a lot of time with her 3-year-old son, Andy.
