From January 12, 2022, Marine Delterme will be showing in the Manipulations series, on France 2. In an interview with Télé Star, the actress revealed to have faced, like her character, a narcissistic pervert.
An event series! From Wednesday January 12, 2022, France 2 will broadcast Handling, a thriller series featuring Marine Delterme and Marc Ruchmann. The pitch? Maud, an accomplished businesswoman, is a single mother. Her life is turned upside down the day she meets Mathias who seems perfect and loves her. Satisfied, Maud does not realize that her new companion is more dangerous than she thinks. When his son begins to dig, he quickly discovers that his mother is under the influence of a dangerous manipulator. A tailor-made role for the actress, who before being in a relationship with actor Jean-Philippe Ecoffey and before marrying the writer Florian Zeller, had a romantic relationship with a toxic man.
In an interview with Star TV, Marine Delterme agreed to define what was perverse narcissist. “After a period of dazzling, in which these manipulators place themselves in front of you as a savior, the time comes when they pose as victims, weeping for their fate while beginning the phase of destruction. Their thing is a slap, a caress. It is all the more difficult to detect that these are invisible blows. As soon as they feel a breach, they rush in“, she explained. While she has been confronted with this situation before, the actress revealed:”I know it very well having lived it, yes. I had a relationship with a narcissistic pervert for a very long time. Too long. When I spoke about it with the director (Marwen Abdallah, editor’s note), I told him that Manipulations reminded me of a lot of things. And that I knew how you could let yourself be destroyed and locked up by someone.“

A few days earlier, it was in a press release that Anne Holmes, director of fiction at France Télévisions had revealed about Handling : “The genre of the series is inherently entertaining and addicting.
