Steven Gätjen spontaneously stepped in as a substitute – but his opponent Max Kruse still won the “Schlag den Star” game.
Max Kruse (33) won the ProSieben show “Beat the Star” on Saturday evening (January 29). The soccer professional from Union Berlin prevailed against TV presenter Steven Gätjen (49), who spontaneously stepped in, and secured 100,000 euros. At the same time, Gätjen even took the lead in a game at the beginning, which was about football issues… In the end, the athlete came out on top.
Steven Gätjen stepped in for “Schlag den Star” after the originally planned actor Frederick Lau (32) tested positive for Corona before the show. According to moderator Elton (50), Gätjen only found out about his luck the night before. But the viewers don’t have to do without Lau entirely: the star from films like “The Perfect Secret” or “Generation Relationship Unable” should be seen “in one of the next issues”, ProSieben also announced.
