Meta Quest 2: 2 new games will be offered for any purchase of the helmet, but the offer seems disappointing

After the Beat Saber and Resident Evil 4 bundlehere is that Meta recidivism with two games offered: GOLF+ And Space Pirate Trainer DX. As part of the offer Meta Quest 2 VR Discovery, both games will be available for free for any new Meta Quest 2 headset purchased from February 5 to June 3, 2023. No price drop is expected on the headset.

Meta details the course of the operation:

Whether you opt for the 128GB or 256GB version, your purchase of a new Meta Quest 2 headset between February 5 and June 3 will include bonus GOLF+ and Space Pirate Trainer DX. To get them, just activate the headset and you’ll receive both for free.

Device must be activated by June 17, 2023 and offer must be redeemed within 14 days of device activation. Additional content is sold separately.

Here is what the two games in question offer:

  • GOLF+ (€29.99) (4.23 GB) (English) (C) (4.7/5) – PEGI 3 (May 28, 2020) (Optimized HQ)
The ultimate VR golf experience and the exclusive PGA TOUR VR golf game. Join your friends for a course on Pebble Beach, Pinehurst #2, The Ocean Course at Kiawah Island and more. Want something more laid back? Meet at Topgolf for a musical and video game evening.

  • Space Pirate Trainer DX (€19.99) (1.13 GB) (French) (C) (4.9/5) – PEGI 7 (May 21, 2019) (Optimized HQ)
One of the first VR shooters that still has so much fun to offer. You have to kill small flying robots from a spaceship take-off platform.

We are, like you, surprised by the choice of the two aforementioned games, which in no way correspond to the notion of killer app or loss leader, regardless of their respective qualities. With Resident Evil 4the players were reassured to be on familiar ground, and Beat Saber enjoys such notoriety that we have more than once discovered that those who had never known the VR before were able to quote it.

With GOLF+ and Space Pirate Trainer DX, newcomers will have the bad feeling of having to pay a lot of money for a headset that will allow them to play experiences similar to mobile games.moreover for GOLF+. Re Space Pirate Trainer DX, the underlying message is that you will need a huge room to play it properly, not enough to encourage you to buy!

If you haven’t taken the plunge yet, you can treat yourself to a Meta Quest 2 to the Fnac, Darty Or Amazon from €449.99.
