Actor Michael Gwisdek can be seen in his last role in the TV movie "Love is unpredictable". This is how his co-stars saw him.

The multiple award-winning Berlin actor Michael Gwisdek (1942-2020, "Scout of Peace") "died with his family after a short, serious illness" on September 22nd last year, as the relatives announced a day later. He was 78 years old. There was a lot of surprise and sadness among fans and colleagues. Today, Friday (January 15th), his last film will be shown on television: "Love is unpredictable" (8:15 pm, the first). In this generally very worth seeing comedy on a serious topic, he shines and touches again in each of his scenes. His co-stars also go into raptures.

What his co-stars will remember

"I think the time we spent together last summer was a great gift. I saw Michael as a great comedian and colleague, with a lot of humor and a lot of esprit," says actor Heino Ferch (57, "Comedian Harmonists "), who plays his son in the film.

"I have made quite a few films with Micha over the years. The news of his sudden death, which of course I had absolutely no idea about during our filming, came as a surprise," he continues to tell the broadcaster. "It is a very great loss that he no longer lives with us."

The other leading actress in the film, actress Tanja Wedhorn (49, "Practice with a sea view"), fondly remembers working with her deceased colleague. "Michael was an entertainer through and through. He got out of the car in the morning and entertained us both in front of and behind the camera until the end of filming. In his pointed, very own Gwisdek way, he either told very bizarre and incredibly funny stories from his life or he was so funny, dry and good in front of the camera that we had to laugh, "she says.

"I am infinitely grateful that I was able to get to know Michael and have worked with him," Wedhorn continued.

This is what "Love Is Unpredictable" is all about

Leonard Damovsky (Heino Ferch) and Judith Kreuzer (Tanja Wedhorn) have little in common. More precisely: almost nothing. He is a math professor who loves solitude and avoids other people because of his social phobia. Waitress Judith, on the other hand, enjoys being around people at her job in the campus café and gets involved in unusual ideas. This also includes the plan of her long-term affair Stefan (Knut Berger) to smuggle her into academic work without studying so that she can continue to live in her cheap university apartment.

In his role as head of PR at the university, Stefan unceremoniously stomps a new type of educational series out of the ground and forces the surprised Leonard to inspire schoolchildren for the magic of numbers. For the presentations in the classroom, the professor, who suffers from anxiety disorders, has the communicative Judith at his side. Actually not a bad idea, because who could reach math gruff better and more credibly than Judith, who up to now could not do much with algebra and geometry.

The fact that Leonard's father Franz Damovsky (Michael Gwisdek), a comedian who was successful in the 1980s and still quite well-known, should support the project with his celebrities in the media, turns out to be a bad idea. As before, the reckless senior makes his rough jokes at the expense of his neurotic son. Meanwhile, Judith is not only beginning to see mathematics with different eyes …
