Gard Larcher is angry. Angry red. He wants debate, debate, debate, and is not happy that Emmanuel Macron is avoiding it. The fact that a candidate outgoing president never lent himself to a debate during the first round does not disturb him, nor calm him. We do not remember that Gérard Larcher was similarly moved by the undemocratic behavior of Jacques Chirac or Nicolas Sarkozy, as his democratic sensitivity has sharpened over time. Chirac and Sarkozy, it passed. Macron, no.
To tell the truth, we ourselves would have gladly taken part in a debate bringing together the twelve candidates. We can see the picture from here: eleven candidates working to bite, shred, cut up the twelfth, president in office sufficiently harmful to France that they all want to replace him…
