A new advertising campaign for Windows 11 is about to be distributed to users on Windows 10. This is what Microsoft explains in a recent blog post, which announces that a new category of PCs will this time be targeted. These are professional PCs, whether managed from the cloud or not.
We know that Microsoft loves to advertise its products within its products. Also, no one is surprised to see the Redmond firm regularly promoting Windows 11 to Windows 10 users. Especially since things may not go well, the end of support date for with the old operating system fast approaching. As a reminder, the latter will no longer receive updates by October 2025.
It is therefore not uncommon to see Microsoft encourage its users to upgrade to Windows 11. But its advertising campaigns do not always target the same people, and some have never even received a message from the firm. A breach that the publisher is preparing to modify, as it announced in a recent blog post. Indeed, a new wave of messages in favor of Windows 11 is about to be released.

It is with Patch Tuesday next April that Microsoft will broadcast this new message. This time, it will be a very specific category of users who will be targeted. More specifically, the Redmond firm will promote its operating system to users on a professional PC, whether managed via the cloud or not. A strategy that makes sense, because professional PCs are often the last to make the switch to a new operating system.
Yet these are the ones who would benefit the most, as they are the most likely to be targeted by hackers. However, the more recent the version of the operating system, the better it is protected against cyberattacks. Once is not customary, Microsoft will therefore remind professionals that it is possible to upgrade to Windows 11 for free. If they accept, the installation will launch automatically from Windows Update.
