The traditional Easter service in St. George’s Chapel at Windsor Castle is probably more emotional this year than before. After King Charles, 75, made his cancer diagnosis public and Catherine, Princess of Wales, 42, recently declared in a video message that she also has cancer, it was unclear how the service would proceed. However, the British monarch has now announced that he will enter the church on Sunday – accompanied by other royals. Who apparently won’t be there: Zara and Mike Tindall.

Zara Tindall has other commitments

This year, many things will not be as usual: King Charles will not sit directly with the Royal Family as he is not expected to take any health risks due to his treatment and the traditional lunch will not take place. The guest list will certainly be smaller this year. One family that will apparently be missing is that of Zara Tindall, 42. Mike Tindall’s wife, 45, has other schedule commitments, as “Hello” reports. On Friday she drove to Thoresby Hall in Nottinghamshire with her children Mia, 10, Lena, 5, Lucas, 3, and her husband to take part in a three-day equestrian event.

Will they make it to the service?

As “Hello” explains, Zara will take part in this event with two horses in the advanced competition at the “Eventing Spring Carnival”. Her father, Mark Philipps, 75, is also present that weekend. He acts as a course advisor alongside Stuart Buntine from “BEDE” events. The 75-year-old expressed his great joy about this special weekend: “It’s a special place, Thoresby, we know the ground here is excellent and that’s what we’re hoping for and we’ve ordered sunny weather – but the sun is with the riders and they have a smile on their face.” With the event running through March 31st, Mike, Zara and the children appear to actually miss the service at Windsor Castle.
