Miley Cyrus (28, "Plastic Hearts") announced the death of her dog Mary Jane on Instagram. The pit bull mix was diagnosed with cancer about a year ago. "She was my salvation every time my heart was broken. She put me back together," wrote the singer in a long statement that she published in several Instagram stories.

After her statement, Cyrus, who took Mary Jane in 2012, published a series of pictures and clips in black and white that she and her companion show.
