US TV star Morgan Stevens has been found dead at his home, TMZ reports. He was 70 years old.

Morgan Stevens, who played numerous roles in famous TV series, is dead. The actor became according to US celebrity portal “TMZ” found lifeless in his home by police officers. He died “probably of natural causes,” it says. According to the report, a neighbor had informed the police after not seeing Stevens for several days.

Stevens was born on October 16, 1951 in Knoxville, Tennessee and went to Hollywood shortly after graduating from college. He was seen in “The Waltons”, “Airwolf” or “Walker, Texas Ranger”. He had his first major role in the series “Fame – The Road to Fame”. He is also known for recurring roles in “Melrose Place” and “A Year in the Life”.

He is said to have been a victim of police violence

In August 1989, the actor made headlines off-camera. According to US media reports, Stevens had a minor car accident. He was subsequently arrested by the Los Angeles Police Department on suspicion of drink driving. He is said to have been beaten while at the police station. Stevens reportedly had a broken nose and other injuries to his face. A blood alcohol test cleared him of the allegations made when he was arrested. Because of his injuries, there is said to have been an out-of-court settlement.
