Motorola Edge 30 Fusion: Better than the flagship model in one respect

That Motorola Edge 30 Fusionthe “middle child” of the Edge 30 series, presents itself in the test as powerful mid-range smartphone. In the overall rating there are the Test grade “very good”.

The thinly built Edge 30 Fusion has a high-end processor with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 888+. It offers a strong work performance, even for somewhat more demanding apps. Only the graphics performance still has a little room for improvement.

The borderless OLED display shows very good values in the test: on a 6.5-inch diagonal with a resolution of 2,400 x 1,080 pixels, a sharp image with a pixel density of 401 ppi is offered. You can use a refresh rate of up to 144 Hertz – the Motorola Edge 30 Fusion is also well suited for gaming.

The camera is probably the biggest surprise of the Edge 30 Fusion, as it even surpasses the image quality of the flagship Motorola Edge 30 Ultra model. The details are displayed better and the sharpening of the images is much more consistent in our test. This is particularly noticeable in pictures taken in twilight. Because the Fusion delivers the best results of all current Motorola models, especially under difficult conditions.

There is also a lot to praise when it comes to the battery: the 4,400 mAh battery lasts for more than 12 hours of continuous operation in the test – with fixed screen brightness, 60 Hertz refresh rate and LTE Internet.

Points were deducted in the test for the equipment, which could have been more lavish for our taste. For example, there is no wireless charging, it does not offer complete water protection, and we also miss a memory card slot.
