In reality, John and Jane are both experienced hitmen, who work for different companies, and both are among the best in their field, each hiding from the other his true profession. The couple live in the suburbs in a large neocolonial-style house and, to put it mildly, are on good terms with their neighbors, conventional and wealthy people, that each of the smith hates. When they are both tasked with killing the same person, they run into each other on the ground and the shot is missed. John and Jane are then each given the mission to kill the other.
