Honor announces the holding of a press conference on the occasion of the MWC in Barcelona. It will be placed under the “Magic” seal, in reference to a range of smartphones currently reserved for China.
Four weeks before the opening of the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, it is difficult to get an idea of what the Catalan fair will present to the public. This mobile high mass usually hosts the conferences of the major manufacturers who, this year however, are slow to formalize their intentions. It must be said that after a lackluster 2022 edition of CES in Las Vegas, and with a delicate health situation, the conditions for holding the event are vague to say the least…
We can nevertheless already count on Honor, which announces the organization of a conference on February 28 at 1 p.m. The brand does not of course say more about the content of the event, but evokes the “power of magic” (“The Power of Magic”), which is reminiscent of his Magic series. Recall that, very recently, the firm unveiled in China only its Magic V, a promising folding smartphone, and that its Magic 3 series, dating from last year, was limited to its domestic market. Note also that Honor computers are also stamped Magic – we recently tested the MagicBook View 14 – and that it is not incongruous to wait for announcements dedicated to several product categories.
Honor, which began its return to Europe last fall with two smartphones, dubbed 50 and 50 Lite, has been on its own since its separation from Huawei. The brand therefore has every interest in showing itself during a show which promises, for the time being, to be calmer than usual.
