Nerva EXE is a new 125cc equivalent electric scooter that stands out for its affordable price and its more environmentally friendly and less expensive LFP battery.
The electric scooter market has been evolving at high speed for many months already, and should strengthen this year with the entry into force of paid parking for thermal scooters and motorcycles from September 2022, in Paris. At the same time, there is no shortage of new product projects.
Recently for example, Hybrids and Electrics we learned of the existence of a new Spanish company, Nerva, whose Nerva EXE seeks to shake up the segment of maxi electric scooters. And this by two means: a price pulled down as much as possible and a more ecological and less expensive battery composition.

Indeed, Nerva relies on FLP (Lithium-Iron-Phosphate) batteries supplied by BYD, which use more eco-responsible components than lithium-ion batteries. Cobalt and nickel are gone, making everything less harmful to produce. Good news: this process is also less expensive, which can affect the final price.
According to the Iberian media, FLP batteries also degrade less quickly over time thanks to less pronounced charge cycles and better thermal stability. The lifetime of the accumulator would also reach 6000 charging cycles. Nerva completes its offer with a long guarantee of 5 years.
The company goes even further since it wishes to give a second life to its batteries, which, after 5 years of use, ” are converted into an energy storage system dedicated to developing countries“, can we read.
In a more technical register, know that the Nerva EXE has a range of 150 kilometers in Eco mode, against 115 and 75 km in Normal and Sport mode. Its integrated 1.8 kW charger allows it to recover 100% charge in 4h20.
Above all, its top speed is not limited to 90 km/h like many other 125 cc equivalents on the market. Here, it is indeed a question of familiarity with 125 km / h – power of 9 kW with a central engine – to come and tickle the BMW CE 04 and the Super Soco CT-3.
A very low price with aids
Under the saddle, users will be able to store two jet type helmets thanks to a nice space. On the safety side, disc brakes are included, combined with a CBS (Combined Brake System) system which activates the front and rear brakes simultaneously when pressing one of the levers.
But where the Nerva EXE is strong is in terms of its price. always according toHybrids and Electrics, the electric scooter will be available from 3380 euros. But beware: in this case, it would benefit from numerous Spanish government aids and the “drum rental” option which contains the final score.
We do not know if this model will be marketed in France: if so, taxes specific to France would then probably raise its price, without either blowing it up.
