Nexans announces that the German authorities have carried out searches at two sites

PARIS (Agefi-Dow Jones)–Cable manufacturer Nexans announced on Thursday that two of its sites in Germany had been the subject of searches that same day by the Bundeskartellamt, the German Federal Cartel Office. .

“These searches are part of an investigation into a suspected agreement between cable manufacturers on the index relating to the premium metal used by the industry in Germany,” the company said. Nexans assured to cooperate with the German authorities.

NKT and Prysmian, Danish and Italian competitors of Nexans, had already announced respectively Thursday and Monday to be the subject of searches by the Bundeskartellamt for the same reasons, also ensuring that they cooperate with the German authorities.
