A groundbreaking chapter in Horst Lichter’s life is filmed. The biographical drama “No Time for Assholes” is already in the making.

As part of its “Herzkino” series, ZDF is making a biographical television film about TV chef and “Bares für Rares” star Horst Lichter (59). The production is under the working title “Horst Lichter – No time for assholes” in the area of ​​Cologne from the end of July until the end of August 2021 in the making. Lichter’s bestseller of the same name from 2016 serves as the template for the film, which Bavaria Fiction GmbH was commissioned to implement.

Oliver Stokowski becomes Horst Lichter

The drama deals with a seminal chapter in Lichter’s career. It is about his mother Margret’s sudden cancer diagnosis, who also upsets the life of the always optimistic TV personality. After that, Lichter travels to his former home with his wife Nada to help his sick mother. Actor Oliver Stokowski (58) slips into the role of the entertainer with the distinctive beard, Barbara Nüsse (78) embodies mother Margret and Chiara Schoras (45) plays Lichter’s wife Nada.

Screenwriter Edda Leesch (58) wrote the script for “Horst Lichter – No Time for Assholes”, and it is currently taking shape under the direction of Andreas Menck. A planned broadcast date has not yet been set at this point in time.
