Nokia: achieves 2 Gbit/s throughput with A1 Austria


(CercleFinance.com) – Nokia and A1 Austria today announced that they have successfully completed 3-component carrier aggregation (3CC CA) in a 5G standalone (SA) test network in Austria, achieving data speeds of 2 Gbps.

Carrier aggregation is a technique used in the latest generations of Wi-Fi and some wired networks to increase a network user’s data rate.

The device enables mobile operators to achieve higher speeds and better coverage by combining different spectrum frequencies to efficiently utilize their spectrum assets. It will allow A1 to offer a superior 5G experience to its subscribers, assures Nokia.
