Nokia XR21: a very resistant adventurer smartphone

After a G22 model that gives pride of place to repairability, Nokia continues to market smartphones that are a little different. As proof, this XR21 model, which is none other than a born adventurer designed for all kinds of adventures.

A model of the most resistant

This XR21 does not have the most attractive technical data sheet, but for anyone who wants a smartphone ready to face all types of shocks, it is very interesting. Dressed in a 100% recycled aluminum frame, it benefits from MIL-STD-810H certification and the IP69K standard. This means the XR21 is resistant to hard drops, dust, water, heavy pressure and more. From there to say that it is almost indestructible, there is only one step. This resistance also applies in the field of autonomy. Nokia indicates that its smartphone can last more than two days before being recharged. The 4800 mAh battery, coupled with the Snapdragon 695 5G chip, promises foolproof autonomy.

For the rest, the card is fairly standard with a 6.4-inch LCD panel, FHD + and refreshed at 120 Hz. The display is protected by Gorilla Glass Victus and can be used even with gloves or wet hands. The advertised maximum brightness is 500 nits. In photo, it is a 64 megapixel module which officiates, coupled with an ultra wide-angle module of 8 Mpx. At the front, Nokia equips its product with a 16 Mpx module.

Nokia claims the robustness of its XR21, but also its longevity. The firm promises a three-year manufacturer’s warranty, as well as four years of security updates. Three major OS updates are also expected.

The smartphone is already available for sale. Only one 8/128 GB variant exists on the market, for €599.
