At its official launch, Overwatch 2 has, unfortunately, encountered some technical issues and suffered several DDoS attacks. But that didn’t stop the players from attending. Speaking of which, Blizzard’s title just reached a new course.
As a reminder, Overwatch 2 was released on October 4, 2022. Ten days later, the software had already reached 25 million players. However, this figure has, of course, evolved since then, and this in a positive way. Indeed, we learn from Activision’s recent financial results (Q3 2022) thatOverwatch 2 has passed the 35 million player mark. This means that since October 14, the game has attracted 10 million more people. A beautiful development, you will certainly agree.
In said document, and more specifically in the “Selected Business Highlights” section, we can indeed read the following statement: “ Over 35 million people played the game in its first month [suite à son lancement]many of them were new to Overwatch “.
It’s a safe bet that these statistics will evolve further in the coming weeks. Moreover, at the beginning of December, we will be able to discover Season 2 of Overwatch 2 as well as the new tank Ramattra.
