Panda syndrome: Too little sex is poison for the relationship

Maybe you know that too: in the evening you lie in bed together, read or watch a film. Cuddled tightly together, that's for sure. But sex? Oh no, for that you would have to move now. Possibly even occupy sporting positions. Uff, better sleep early.

When couples love each other but hardly have sex anymore, this is called "panda syndrome." Why? Because they lie side by side like two pandas. The bears are known to be too lazy to reproduce.

Hardly sex – do I have to worry?

There are sex slacks in every respect, that's not too bad. But if you hardly get intimate for months or even years, it can endanger the relationship. Because sex is not only fun and healthy – it connects and creates trust. And these things are the basis for a healthy relationship. According to a Gfk survey, a good 75 percent of men and 61 percent of women cannot imagine a relationship without sex. It says: Pick up and feel pleasure together again!

What can you do?

First of all, you should address the topic. "Have you noticed that we haven't had much sex lately? ", would be a start. Many couples make the mistake of keeping the matter silent. And where there is no problem, there is no solution.

Important: Talk about what the reasons for the lack of desire could be. Dare to communicate your wishes to your partner and consciously take more time for two – maybe one fixed evening a week. You will see: even pandas can have fun having sex!
