Paris-Saint-Germain narrowly won against Angers (2-1)

Paris-Saint-Germain, who remained on a defeat in Rennes (2-0), won again in the last minutes of the match. The Parisian club won a narrow victory (2-1) at home against Angers, thanks to a penalty at the end of the match from Kylian Mbappé, Friday, October 15 at the opening of the 10e Ligue 1 day.

This victory allows the Parisians to take nine lengths ahead of Lens (2e), while waiting for the matches of the weekend, but the geometry of a perfectible game counted more than the algebra, Friday night. And she reassures Paris before receiving RB Leipzig in the Champions League on Tuesday.

Mbappé’s saving penalty

Without his internationals from across the Atlantic, coach Mauricio Pochettino’s collective game plan has not progressed much. Neymar, Marquinhos (Brazil), Angel Di Maria, Leandro Paredes and of course Lionel Messi (Argentina) were playing in World Cup qualifying the night before. So they weren’t there to work on the combinations.

As for goalkeeper Keylor Navas, he was injured with Costa Rica and would have given way to Gianluigi Donnarumma anyway. But there were still good people and the formation aligned by “Poche” really stammered its football in a bad first period, logically won by Angers, on a nice goal from Angelo Fulgini (35e).

The classic SCO plan of defending with the beak, countering with the wings, worked well.

After the break, PSG raised the tone and obtained the equalizer by Danilo Pereira (68e) before a hand from Pierrick Capelle, signaled by video refereeing, offered the penalty of victory to Mbappé (86e).

Scorer from a penalty kick last week with the Blues against Belgium, in the League of Nations, “Kyky” seems to have indeed left behind the trauma of the missed goal against Switzerland at the Euro. This goal is good for the statistics of the fresh winner of the League of Nations, who had not scored for six games with PSG. He also delivered his fourth assist in six games.
