After long months of waiting, Epic Games has finally launched a new submachine gun into the Fortnite Battle Royale battlefield.
It has been many weeks since data miners got their hands on this small submachine gun called “Automatic Pistol” which seems to be extremely powerful. Players have been waiting for it for a while before the developers finally decide to officially introduce it into the game, this Tuesday, February 8, 2022.
So we have fairly short patch notes for this 19.20 update, but you can still have fun with a new weapon in Fortnite and that’s clearly not negligible.
A new weapon is already entering Fortnite Battle Royale after the return of the Combat Shotgun recently.

MASTER CLOSE COMBAT WITH THE AUTOMATIC PISTOL
Do you like fighting in confined spaces? The automatic pistol deals high damage at close range. That doesn’t stop it from shining at longer distances, as long as you fire in short bursts to maintain your accuracy. This pistol benefits from a larger magazine allowing the bullets to rain down a little longer.
You can find automatic pistols on the ground, in typical and rare chests, in supply drops, while fishing or thanks to sharks. ?
NOTES ON COMPETITIVE MODES
- Auto Pistol is not available in Competitive Modes, as it is being evaluated.”
We therefore note that the weapon is not currently available in competitive modes (Arena, Cash Cup & FNCS) but it may become so in the coming weeks, when the developers will have assessed that it has its place. .
