Pilot missing – sports plane crashed in Dornbirn in fog

On Thursday morning there was a plane crash in Vorarlberg. A sports plane crashed in the area of ​​the Dornbirn quarry. A large-scale deployment of the rescue workers is underway.

There was one person on board the sport aircraft. According to the rescue and fire brigade control center (RFL), the twin-engine machine took off from Hohenems airfield in fog and probably crashed in the area of ​​the Breitenberg. The crash site is in impassable terrain, the emergency services have not yet arrived at the scene, according to initial information from the RFL around 8:40 a.m. Rescuers are trying to get to the crash site from two sides. In addition to the ambulance and emergency doctor, mountain rescuers and firefighters are on the way to the scene of the accident. According to the police, the machine is a single-engine Cessna P210N. A 51-year-old was on board and his destination was Memmingen Airport in Bavaria.
