Podcast. Science fiction to the rescue of the French army

It is 2042, and a new form of piracy has developed. The hackers of the “P-Nation”, unlike the majority of the world’s population, are not equipped with a chip. They are the equivalent of stateless persons or climate migrants of the turn of the century. They threaten France’s space elevator project, with one claim: the official creation of a country, the “P-Nation” therefore, in which they could live.

This story was written for the military by renowned science fiction authors, as part of the “Red Team” program driven by the Defense Innovation Agency (AID). The French army called on these authors to help it anticipate the threats of tomorrow, but also to prepare for the unknown, for the surprise, for unimaginable scenarios for the military today.

Raphaëlle Rérolle is a senior reporter at World, she tells us about the origins and operation of the “Red Team” project.

An episode produced by Cyrielle Bedu, directed by Amandine Robillard and presented by Morgane Tual.
