the GO battle league throws all borders overboard for the first time in season 10: The Champions league begins together with the Master League Classic on December 27, 2021 at 10 p.m. and runs until January 10, 2022. In this competition there is no limit to the competition points (WP) of the participating monsters, so you can field the biggest and meanest Pokémon you have at your disposal . Accordingly, legendary monsters can be found at the top of the food chain in the highest weight class of the GO battle league. This guide shows how you can survive in the master league.

Pokémon GO – Master League: Best Pokémon

The Master League is probably the most unfriendly environment for PvP beginners: You need a lot of legendary Pokémon to be competitive here, and you also have to upgrade them a lot. Stardust costs skyrocket when building a competitive team. The silver lining: The master league meta is more stable than that of the lower leagues, which is why your investments here should be useful in the long term.

XL candies are very helpful in leading the strongest teams into the field in this format. If you have not made much progress in this area so far, take part in the Master League Classic – monsters pumped up with XL candy are not allowed here.

Arktilas is a brand new Pokémon that instantly rose to a strong PvP power. Due to the high concentration of dragons at this level, ice types are of great use and the new release is a particularly tough specimen of this type. With its combination of fire and ground attacks and the flight component, Ho-Oh can dominate many strong opponents. Counterattacks can be found in the flying tank Lugia and in Water King Kyogre. Dialga is the only Dragon-type Pokémon that does not take bonus damage from dragon attacks – the steel typing makes it possible.

The obvious outliers here are Mamutel and Crypto-Relaxo: Like Arktilas, the ice creature is a strong counterweight to fat fliers like Yveltal, Dragoran and Giratina (original form), but is mercilessly destroyed by Ho-Oh. It shares this weak point with Snorlax, which is considered the top counterattack to ghost Pokémon and – and here it may come as a surprise – to Dialga and Togekiss. The leisurely Relaxo is so tough that its normal attacks and power colossus can slowly but surely neutralize the enemy.

Glass cannons and particularly tough tanks split this list among themselves. There is one Pokémon that deserves a special mention: Knakrack. The ground dragon with clay shot, tantrum and earth forces as attacks eats about half the Closer for breakfast and can therefore be a huge ace up your sleeve if you can save it up to a situation without shields. However, Crypto-Mamutel quickly put an end to this beast.

As usual, massive resilience is the deciding factor behind the comeback kings category. Togekiss and Feelinara combine this aspect with the rapid attack speed of the charm attack – many powerful dragons have to fear them. The best solution against the fairy types is the unloved Heatran, the permanent guest in the raids of the fifth level, who is outlawed by the fans. His typing and attacks are ideal for confronting the fairies. As a bonus, it also beats newcomers Arktilas and Dialga.
