Pokémon GO: What’s Up This Week?

The countdown to the turn of the year is running and “Pokémon GO” is celebrating it as usual with a New Years event. Before that, however, the champions league starts and you should definitely use the last days of the year to complete the stardust challenge as part of the season of origin. So that you don’t miss any content during the hustle and bustle of the holiday, COMPUTER BILD has summarized all events for the coming week from December 27, 2021 to January 2, 2022.

GO Battle League: Master League

Monday, December 27, 2021, 10 p.m.

At the beginning of the week, the Hyperliga and the Hyperliga remix say goodbye to the rotation of the GO battle league – Season 10 starts with the Champions league as well as the Master League Classic. The Holiday Cup has a little more stamina: This limited format will remain active until December 31 at 10 p.m. and only then will it withdraw.

There is no limit to competition points (WP) in the champions league, so you are encouraged to unleash your biggest, meanest and most powerful pocket monsters. By the way, from Monday until January 10, 2022, you will benefit from the tripling of the stardust rewards for victories and ranks in the Battle League – the PvP competitions are therefore more worthwhile than usual.

Spotlight hour: Petznief

Tuesday, December 28, 2021, 6 p.m. to 7 p.m.

The weekly spotlight hour will be Petznief bring to the stage. The ice-type Pokémon can currently be found in a costumed variant and is developing into Siberio, a very powerful representative of the category. As a bonus, there are double catch candies – certainly not the best bonus for Petznief. However, if you’ve saved up some old field research assignments that you want to get bonus candy from encounters, you could use this lesson to do so.

Raid lesson: Kyurem

Wednesday, December 29, 2021, 6 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Kyurem has taken over the raids of the fifth level in “Pokémon GO” and can currently be found there for the first time in the rare shiny variant. During the raid hour, Niantic boosts the monster’s spawn rate tremendously so that you can fight it at any arena. This is your best chance of getting your hands on the dazzling color version. The best counters to Kyurem can be found here.

New year event

Friday, December 31, 2021, 10 p.m.

The turn of the year has a constant companion: that New year event. During this time, “Pokémon GO” fills up with a huge number of costumed Pokémon that are sure to cause a collector’s fever.
