Pokémon Lost Origin: The sublime Charizard card from the next TCG set revealed exclusively!


For several months now, the popularity of pokemon cards is only increasing, so much so that many players have both taken up collecting, to obtain the rarest ones, but also competing. Very soon, moreover, the 2022 Pokémon World Championships, in London, which we invite you to watch on the official channels! Now easier to get the precious pieces of cardboard (thanks to TPCI which doubles the productions in order to stop the scalpers), you may be eagerly awaiting the next set of Sword and Shield cards. An extension that will probably attract even more new people since a analog set of 30 cards offers beautiful visuals of trainers accompanied by their favorite Pokémon.

“Friendships are blazing with Charizard, from the Sword and Shield Trainers’ Gallery – Lost Origin! Tarak and Charizard have perfected the Battle Sense talent, which allows you to look at the top 3 cards of your deck, add one to your hand, and discard the rest. Make them work as a team with the Royal Flare attack, which deals 100 damage plus 50 for each Tarak card in your discard pile.”

The new expansion Sword and Shield – Lost Origin of the Pokémon Trading Card Game marks the return of the game mechanics of the Lost Zone.

This is the first time the Lost Zone game mechanic has appeared in the Sword and Shield series, which has shaken up the Pokémon TCG metagame. The Lost Zone is similar to the discard pile, but players cannot retrieve cards placed in the Lost Zone of the game. Maps using the Lost Zone, such as Giratina-VSTAR, are characterized by a shadowy aura emanating from the artwork.

When will the new Lost Origin expansion be available?

The new expansion of the famous Pokémon Trading Card Game: Sword and Shield – Lost Origin which will be released in participating stores worldwide from September 9, 2022.

This expansion is again based on the hit video game Pokémon Legends: Arceus and features more of Hisui’s Pokémon, including Hisui-VSTAR’s Zoroark and Hisui-VSTAR’s Muplodocus, as well as Radiant Pokémon like Radiant Gardevoir. Radiant Pokémon are chromatic Pokémon depicted on textured cards, and they usually possess a powerful Ability or a powerful Attack. Among the most notable cards, the expansion contains:

  • 3 new Radiant Pokémon;
  • 6 Pokémon-VSTAR;
  • 14 Pokémon-V and one Pokémon-VMAX
  • 30 cards with artwork featuring fan-favorite Trainers, Trainers, and Pokémon in the Trainer Gallery analogue set

Sword and Shield – Lost Origin will be available in booster packs, Elite Trainer Boxes, and special collections.
