After Hugo, Aperol Spritz and Limoncello Spritz, the new trend drink for 2024 is already in the starting blocks. This year it’s refreshingly tangy, with slightly sweet and bitter notes. A drink that creates a holiday atmosphere in bars, on the beach or on your balcony at home. And the drink is also an eye-catcher in the glass because it shimmers in a cheerful pink.
Pomelo and elderflower in the trend drink for 2024
This summer, the Pomello Spritz will refresh the trendsetters of the world and is one of the new trend drinks for 2024. With its pink shimmer, the drink is also a visual highlight in the long drink glass and is an indispensable part of the sun terraces at happy hour.
The aperitif Pomello is reminiscent of blooming summers in Sweden and the urban lifestyle of Los Angeles. A fusion that thanks to the included Elderflowers are excitingly sweet and taste pleasantly bitter thanks to the pomelo, a citrus fruit from the grapefruit family. The inventors named the trendy drink that is now conquering the bar scene Pomello Spritz. Together with a lot of ice cubes, the aperitif is poured into a long drink glass or a bulbous wine glass and poured with other ingredients.
Recipe: Make your own Pomello Spritz
The ingredients:
- Ice cubes
- 50 ml Pomello aperitif
- 100 ml Prosecco
- some sparkling water
- a slice of grapefruit for garnish
The preparation:
- Fill a large wine glass generously with ice cubes. Now add the aperitif Pomello and pour in Prosecco.
- A splash of sparkling water makes the Pomello Spritz even more sparkling. Garnished with a slice of grapefruit, the Pomello Spritz is ready to serve – cheers!
Kitchen tip: Fresh herbs such as rosemary or thyme bring out even more flavor nuances from the Pomello Spritz. They are also ideal for refining the trendy drink.
