Back from Armenia where she showed her support for the Christians of the East, Valérie Pécresse continues to work on her campaign. The holidays of the candidate LR will be studious: she will take advantage of this moment to consolidate her presidential project and maximize her first 100 days at the Elysee Palace, in the event of victory on April 24. What are the flagship measures of its program?

DECRYPTION

Valérie Pécresse is on all fronts. Back from Armenia, her first trip abroad as a candidate, she went to the Saint-Ouen vaccination center to demand free Covid-19 screening tests until January 10. A way of placing oneself at the center of the political debate. And the president of the Ile-de-France region will not rest during the holidays. She is keen to use this time to consolidate her presidential project and maximize her first 100 days if she wins on April 24.

Curb immigration and rebuild security

The campaign of candidate LR will be boosted from January 4, both in substance and in form. Valérie Pécresse wants to position herself as the main opponent to Emmanuel Macron. Today, in the polls, she is the only one capable of beating the President of the Republic and she wants to keep this dynamic.

She is already in the process of finalizing, with her strategic council, three bills, which would be adoptable upon her election. The first to curb immigration, the second to “rebuild security” and the third on “decentralization”.

Pécresse “ready to transform the country”

The president of the Ile-de-France region completes three other reforms: pensions, unemployment insurance and the functioning of the State, to “debureaucratize” our country. The main architect of these projects is Patrick Stéfanini, the campaign director of Valérie Pécresse, who intends to give a role to each of the losers of the primary. The regal for Eric Ciotti, the social for Xavier Bertrand, the international for Michel Barnier and health for Philippe Juvin.
