The music show "Pretty in Plush" could not convince. Sat.1 is taking the new format out of the program earlier than planned.

"Pretty in Plüsch" 2020 started on Friday, November 27th on Sat.1. The new vocal show, which the broadcaster had announced as a "world premiere", failed to score with the audience after two editions. As the broadcaster has now announced, the finale will be shown next Friday, December 11th (8:15 pm) – a week earlier than planned.

"We're telling 'Pretty in Plüsch – Germany's weirdest singing show' already on Friday," confirmed Sat.1 spokeswoman Sandra Scholz of the news agency spot on news. There was a lot of positive feedback for the second episode, but the show "unfortunately couldn't inspire enough viewers," said Scholz. The best celebrity doll duet will therefore be chosen one edition earlier than planned in a big final show. The fourth and final edition was actually planned for December 18th. What will happen in the program instead is not yet known.

In the show with presenter Michelle Hunziker (43), a group of stars with plush dolls comes on stage and sings a duet with them. According to the broadcaster, behind every doll there is a "world-class singer" who lends the plush star his singing voice. The three-person jury, including Sarah Lombardi (28) and Hans Sigl (51), assess the performances and give their opinion. The celebrity candidates include Jessica Paszka (30) and Mareile Höppner (43). At the end of each show, the viewers decide in a live vote which couple has to leave the show.
