Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan: They bought a villa in Santa Barbara

The two royals bought a house in Santa Barbara. There they hope for a normal life as possible – among all the celebrities.

Prince Harry (35) and Meghan Markle (39) have found their new home: As the "People" magazine reports, the two royals bought a house in Santa Barbara, about 160 kilometers north of Los Angeles. A spokesman has now confirmed that the prince and duchess had already moved into their family home in July of this year.

"They have established themselves in the quiet seclusion of their community since arriving and hope that this will be respected for their neighbors as well as for them as a family," it said. A source told Page Six that the pair were hoping to have as normal a life as possible with their one-year-old son Archie.

In Santa Barbara they are at least in prominent company who should also appreciate privacy: Oprah Winfrey (66) owns several properties in the area, and her neighbors include Rob Lowe (56) and Ellen DeGeneres (62). Before that, the small family had also looked around Vancouver, Canada.
