Harsh criticism: is Oprah Winfrey taking advantage of him?

In Prince Harry’s public revelations about the darker side of his life, Oprah Winfrey plays a central role as an interviewer. For this reason, some are harshly judging the show legend.
You can feel free, says Prince Harry, 36, in the documentary series “The Me You Can’t See” if you tell the truth. On twitter Observers view the role of Oprah Winfrey with skepticism – and draw parallels with Martin Bashir, 58, who made Princess Diana, † 36, in November 1995 with forged documents and psychological manipulation to give him a very private interview. As a consequence, Queen Elizabeth, 95, demanded the divorce of her daughter-in-law and son Prince Charles, 72. In August 1996, it became final.
Concern for Prince Harry, Oprah Winfrey under attack
“Oprah has a great responsibility and it is highly questionable whether she should exploit Prince Harry, who is clearly in a vulnerable state. This is not much better than what the BBC did 25 years ago,” says one Woman on twitter. Another lady agrees, commenting: “Oprah is the new one [Martin] Bashir. Even Diana declined an interview with her! “In fact, the talk legend asked for a conversation with Princess Diana in the 1990s – and won a basket.
“He looks fragile and is triggered by everything. He shouldn’t share such sensitive personal feelings because he can’t control how people interpret them,” worries a user about Prince Harry. Other requests to speak were, “Totally agree. Oprah should be ashamed” and “You will find that Oprah sees herself as an entertainer, not a journalist. If you look at it that way, that explains it all.”
“Sure, any psychiatrist can see that this man is wrong,” says one observer, adding that Oprah Winfrey is only a “self-appointed expert” and therefore cannot see the damage she is doing to Harry. “She only sees the money she makes.”
There are also dissenting voices
Most of the users who take part in the discussion see Oprah Winfrey as the culprit. But not everyone wants to accept that. As much as she disapproves of the 67-year-olds’ “sanity”, she – unlike Martin Bashir – did not forge any documents in order to get her interviews, said one interviewee. Harry is used, but not fooled. That is a difference. The sender of the following comment also emphasizes that Prince Harry himself is responsible for his actions: “He complains about the tabloids, but Oprah is the queen of tabloid TV.”
