Prince William and Prince Harry get together. The two brothers pull together for the statue in memory of their mother.

The relationship between Prince William (38) and Prince Harry (36) has been said to have been difficult for some time. The explosive interview by Harry and his wife, Duchess Meghan (39, “Suits”), with US talk show host Oprah Winfrey (67) certainly didn’t make things any better. However, there seems to be no radio silence between the brothers. As reported by the British “The Sun”, the two have now jointly decided on the design of the statue that is to be erected in London in honor of their mother, Princess Diana (1961-1997).

Prince William and Prince Harry had therefore ignored their differences and approved a final design by sculptor Ian Rank-Broadley (69), writes the tabloid. The statue will now be made. The brothers had previously set up a working committee to oversee the project. Prince Harry, who lives with his family in the USA, is said to have received photos of the design draft.

Diana statue will be unveiled on July 1st

Whether the relationship between Prince William and Prince Harry is actually on the mend remains to be seen. It is still unclear whether both will be present at the unveiling of the Diana statue in front of Kensington Palace on July 1st. The “princess of hearts” would have celebrated her 60th birthday on this day.

As previously reported in the “Sun on Sunday”, Palace employees would currently consider it unthinkable that both brothers would show up together in London in the summer. However, they definitely wanted to realize their project, which they announced for the first time in 2017 – despite all the disagreements.
