"They had to adapt to new working conditions while continuing to save lives and help those in need day in and day out. That makes the merits we are celebrating tonight all the more extraordinary," were the words of the father of three. He was also given the honor of announcing the evening's first winner. The award for Outstanding Achievement in Mental Health went to London Fire Brigade Inclusion Manager Shilla Patel.

Prince William continued, "The work of the Fire Fighters Charity and all organizations that support our emergency services is vital to ensuring the continued health and wellbeing of our emergency services." Together with his wife, Duchess Kate (38), he supports the aid network for emergency services "Our Frontline", which focuses on mental health in the workplace.
