On behalf of Princess Victoria and her family, the Swedish court released an official statement following the announcement of Kate’s cancer diagnosis – the royals are “terribly sad”.
After weeks of conspiracy theories surrounding her health, Catherine, Princess of Wales, 42, spoke out on Friday evening, March 22, 2024, and made her diagnosis public. “In January I had major abdominal surgery in London and at the time it was thought I didn’t have cancer. The surgery was successful. However, post-surgery scans revealed that cancer was present,” Kate said in a moving video message and explained that he is currently undergoing “preventive chemotherapy.” During this time, the future queen is now asking for “some time, space and privacy”.
