The Queen presented the musician Thomas Trotter with a medal for his art at Windsor Castle – in person.

Queen Elizabeth II (95) personally presented the musician Thomas Trotter (64) with the Queen’s Medal for Music at a meeting at Windsor Castle. Trotter actually won the award last year.

At the appointment, one of the few personal ones these days, the Queen was evidently in good spirits. The photos show the 95-year-old standing with the concert organist in the Oak Room and chatting with a smile. Since her hospital stay in October, the Queen’s doctors had advised the Queen to stand back for the time being and only do light tasks.

Difficult times for the Queen

Only recently it became known that the Queen is currently mourning an employee and friend. Duchess of Grafton, Ann Fortune FitzRoy, reportedly died on December 3, 2021 at the age of 101. The Duchess worked for the British Crown for 69 years, most recently as “Mistress of the Robes” responsible for the Queen’s clothes and jewelry.
