There is one jacket model you cannot avoid this autumn: the quilted jacket. Fashionistas are already wearing the quilted overcoats up and down – the color doesn’t matter, but the style doesn’t.
Strictly speaking, quilted jackets are not a new trend, but as is so often the case, it is design that can completely reinterpret old concepts. This is also the case with the quilted jackets, which have become a must-have in autumn, especially for fashion-conscious Londoners. We know why.
The trendy jackets are a fusion of style elements from equestrian sports, functional clothing and haute couture. The jackets keep you warm, have the thin quilting that resembles the saddle pads, and the bell shape is reminiscent of the capes of the great fashion designers. But how do you combine the stylish autumn jackets? And can everyone really wear them? We’ll show you three great looks that really suit everyone.
Quilted Jacket: The classic
You can never go wrong with the olive green and black combination. It conjures us narrower and looks super noble. The important thing here is: stay true to the simplicity of the look. No statement shoes or large chains, small golden hoops and sporty sneakers are enough. If you want to go from job to event, you can also wear a chic blouse under your jacket and black booties instead of casual sneakers.
The interplay of light and dark
Especially in autumn it is colors like brown, green or gray that dominate the fashion world. Although an all-black look can have its charms, playing with light and dark is particularly important in the darker months of the year. Even with a white shirt, the outfit can be made easier and friendlier. We find the combination of ottoman leggings, T-shirt and XL quilted jacket particularly stylish.
Sporty in autumn

There are two things you should watch out for with oversized autumn jackets. Wide trousers should not be combined with a quilted jacket, it quickly looks tentative and even small people have a hard time with this trend, as the XL look makes it look smaller.
