Ratched: New series by Ryan Murphy comes to Netflix in September

The star-set prequel series for the cult film "One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest" has a start date. Netflix shows "Ratched" in September.

"American Horror Story" inventor Ryan Murphy (54) developed the drama series "Ratched" for the streaming service Netflix together with Ian Brennan (42, "Glee"). It tells the story of Mildred Ratched, a nurse who works for a leading California psychiatric hospital in 1947 that is doing new and worrying experiments with the human mind. The prequel series for the cult film "One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest" (1975) has a star cast and now has a start date.

The eight episodes will be available on Netflix from September 18, 2020. The dedicated nurse is played by Sarah Paulson (45, "American Horror Story").
