  • That Count Dracula is not the best boss is proven by his henchman in the film “Renfield”.
  • The horror comedy has already started in the USA and had little success in cinemas.
  • Before the film is released in Germany, you can already see “Renfield” in the stream.

There are many films about Dracula, but “Renfield” focuses on Dracula’s involuntary and unfortunate henchman, who no longer wants to be in the service of the blood-hungry Count. In the role of Renfield we see Nicholas Hoult (“Warm Bodies”, “The Great”), at his side Nicolas Cage shines as Dracula – a role for which Cage was apparently created.

In the USA and numerous other countries, “Renfield” was released in cinemas at the beginning of April 2023, but in Germany it won’t be until May 25th. Since the film fell well short of expectations in the US, Universal Pictures decided to try to earn a little more money from cinema grouches as quickly as possible, which is why “Renfield” can already be bought and rented on iTunes in the US.

You can also benefit from this in Germany, because it is quite easy to access the US iTunes offering in this country and thus see films that have only just made it to the cinema or will only be released in a few weeks or months. Our iTunes instructions tell you what you have to consider.

Since “Renfield” is currently still in US cinemas, the digital purchase and rental price on iTunes is still relatively high. You can buy Renfield for $24.99 or $19.99 if you only want to see the film once. At a point in time that is not yet known, these prices will of course drop, but if you really want to stream “Renfield” right now, you’ll be happy to pay the surcharge.
