"Losing a brother is like dying part of yourself," says Roberto Blanco. The singer has to say goodbye.
"I'm deeply sad," says pop star Roberto Blanco (83, "From the soul"). The musician mourns his brother. As he confirmed to the "Bild" newspaper, Victor Zerquera, who was ten years his junior, died in his Lebanese homeland, Beirut. The musician got the "sad news" from Victor's wife on the phone.
"Losing a brother is like dying part of yourself," said Blanco of the paper. The relationship between the siblings was "particularly good", they "talked a lot on the phone". About the circumstances of death, the 83-year-old explains: Victor fell in February and was treated in hospital. It was only later found out that he had been infected with the corona virus. "Victor had no symptoms at all, but he died after three days." The musician will miss his younger brother, "a fun-loving person like me", says Blanco.
