Royal news about Harry + Meghan: do they bend Kate + William?

Prince Harry, 35, and Duchess Meghan, 38, live with baby Archie Mountbatten-Windsor, ten months, currently in Canada. However, that doesn't stop them from celebrating British Mother's Day. And so yesterday the couple published a greeting message to all mothers and grandmothers in the world on their Instagram account @sussexroyal.

Prince Harry + Duchess Meghan: No new photos of Baby Archie

Anyone who hoped that Meghan and Harry would donate a new photo of Baby Archie – as they did on Mother's Day 2019 – was disappointed. Is the desire for privacy the reason or maybe the royal pecking order?

Cambrige versus Sussex

The British press and Royal fans on social media keep discussing whether Harry and Meghan are trying to outdo Prince William, 37, and Duchess Catherine, 38, using Instagram. Allegation: If the Cambridges make an important appearance or announce an important message, the Sussexes publish a post shortly afterwards and draw attention to themselves.

That's not all: Court rapporteurs repeatedly complain that the staff of Kate and William or Harry and Meghan do not coordinate well enough with regard to the publication of information or the scheduling of appearances. Consequence: there is overlap and the press has to decide which pair to allow the larger spotlight. A lot of Royal observers find this unnecessary.

Maybe that's why Harry and Meghan decided not to publish a new photo of Archie. After all, the UK, like the rest of the world, is in the Coronavirus crisis. The right moment for Kate and William to give their people a little comfort. And they do.

The attention belongs to Prince William and Duchess Catherine

Kate and William yesterday also posted on Instagram (and Twitter) for Mother's Day Word. Highlight: a new photo of their children Prince George, six, and Princess Charlotte, four. To see: George piggyback on his father's back and Charlotte on her mother's. The plan works: "Kate and her sweets give us a little encouragement," England's largest newspaper "Daily Mail" wrote on Monday (March 23) on the family admission on the front page. Harry's and Meghan's Instagram post is not mentioned.
