RUMOR on Beyond Good and Evil 2: development is progressing, an alpha version soon to be tested

Confirmed in 2008 by a simple teaser, Beyond Good and Evil 2 disappeared from the radar until 2017, when it returned with a memorable cinematic. From gameplay of the title has been shown several times since, revealing a huge open world with crazy possibilities, but the project has not materialized so far. According to rumors and the words of Michel Ancel, creator of the license who left Ubisoft in 2020, the development would have been most chaotic (and its management would perhaps have had something to do with it).

The publisher has repeatedly reminded that Beyond Good and Evil 2 was still in development, but with no news worthy of the name, fans are worried about the future of the game, the current form of which we honestly don’t know anymore. The often very knowledgeable Tom Henderson ensures to know thanks to its sources that things are progressing off and that external playtesting would start from July 2022.

Beyond Good and Evil 2 is indeed still in development and the game will begin external testing this month.

Additionally, these playtests will be more extensive than one session per week, a Ubisoft standard we’ve seen for projects like The Division Heartland, XDefiant and more.

Unfortunately, the information does not assess how far the game is in terms of development, what problems it is facing and how long it will be before the project is released.

This certainly does not advance us much, but if we trust the statements of theinsiderthis shows at least that Beyond Good and Evil 2 passes new stages that bring us closer to its release, certainly still far away. But in this time when leaks are legion, we could almost cross our fingers for a leak that shows us the current status of the project… As always, wait & seehoping to find soon Beyond Good and Evil 2 officially in our columns. And why not during theUbisoft Forward of September?
