RUMOR on Quantic Dream: A Funny Narrative Game Inspired by The Dark Sorcerer Coming Before Star Wars Eclipse

Quantic Dream revealed his Star Wars Eclipse during the Game Awards 2021, but according to the noise of the corridors, it would not be expected for several years. The Parisian studio would however have perhaps planned to release another game with more advanced development before this action-oriented experience, an idea seconded by Tom Henderson and AccountNGT, who had leaked project information Star wars before the hour.

The company, which recently became a self-publisher, was also working a priori on a mobile game and another for more classic consoles, led by the majority of the team since the closing of Detroit: Become Human. AccountNGT says more about what he knows about the latter this week. According to him, the next AAA of Quantic Dream would be a game cross-gen (which could become exclusive to the next-gen following its effective release period), whose scenario would have been completed several years ago, in particular by director David Cage. The project would have been to launch it quickly behind Detroit, but complications and the relocation of part of the workforce to Star Wars: Eclipse have changed plans.

More interestingly, it would still bea non-linear narrative game with marked humor, taking place in a universe of medieval fantasy and directly inspired by the technical demo The Dark Sorcerer shown atE3 2013. As a reminder, the sequence made us discover a summoning session that was actually a film shoot in a fantasy world. After all, the demo Kara had given birth to Detroit: Become Human (available from € 19.99 on Amazon.com), then such a choice on the part of Quantic Dream would not be that surprising.

AccountNGT does not note a potential release date or period, but reports that the French studio would have difficulty recruiting new employees to properly advance development, certainly due to its recent court cases. These hallway noises seem plausible, but while waiting for an officialization, it is therefore only rumors.
