AOKZOE is definitely the fastest to draw Steam Deck clones to exploit the latest processors announced by AMD.

At the last CES in Las Vegas, AMD presented its next generations of processors. In particular, there was talk of new APUs, these processors with a powerful graphics part.

Among the various chips presented by AMD, we could note several generations of components intended for laptops. Thus, the Dragon Range and Phoenix ranges have been detailed.

A newcomer to the market for hybrid PC/console machines, AOKZOE has not, however, set its sights on one of the chips put forward by AMD. For its “A1 A407”, the manufacturer has actually opted for the Ryzen 7 7735U about which AMD has not been very verbose.

Better known under the code name Rembrandt-R, this component is based on the Zen3+/RDNA2 architecture duo. With 8 cores / 16 threads and a combined cache of 20 MB, the chip seems above all to be a refresh of the Ryzen 7 6800U that we already know well.

Performance close to the Ryzen 7 6800U

This proximity between the Ryzen 7 7753U and 6800U is also noticeable at AOKZOE. Last summer, the company was the first to announce a machine integrating the 6800U. Today, this machine seems based on the 6800U or the 7735U with no difference other than the frequencies.

That of the Ryzen 7 7735U is officially 4.75 GHz in boost, or 50 MHz more than on the Ryzen 7 6800U. On the Geekbench site, the first tests present maximum frequencies of, respectively, 4.79 and 4.74 GHz which obviously does not affect performance.

The integration of the Ryzen 7 7735U is not the occasion of any other change on the technical sheet of the A1 AR07. AOKZOE still evokes an 8-inch screen in 1920 x 1200 and LPDDR5X-6400 memory. Of equivalent size to that of the Steam Deck, the A1 AR07 is however much more expensive (799 dollars).
