(CercleFinance.com) – Saint-Gobain announced on July 29 that it finalized the acquisition, announced on May 31, of Kaycan, a company that produces and distributes outdoor building materials in Canada and the United States.
With this acquisition, the French group becomes the major player in facade siding in Canada and expands its offer of vinyl coverings in the United States with complementary solutions based on aluminum or transformed wood.
In accordance with what had been announced, the sale of Kaycan’s small American distribution business should be finalized in the third quarter of 2022. The multiple of approximately eight times EBITDA after taking into account synergies and this sale is confirmed.
