The Arlo Video Doorbell brings together the technologies dear to its manufacturer: a good sensor for filming, an HDR mode, a motion detector, a siren, clouds…. In short, so many assets that make Arlo succeed in imposing itself in the field of surveillance. But on this connected video doorbell, all these options are not necessarily well harmonized. The installation is not the easiest, the night vision is not ideal and the HDR mode is not up to our expectations. However, we must not lose sight of the fact that this is a connected doorbell and not a full-fledged monitoring solution, and in this, it fulfills its contract.

Despite its affordable price, the Video Doorbell Wired offers very satisfactory audio and video services, as well as motion detection that is quite effective for a doorbell. Too bad that some of its functions require you to subscribe to the paid Ring Protect subscription in the absence of a microSD port. The Video Doorbell Wired naturally also ignores the battery and we would have liked to see it accompanied by a chime like the Powergiant Wireless Video Doorbell, which therefore remains our benchmark in this segment.
